ADHD, autism & AuDHD counselling in Dorchester and Exeter

ADHD and autism can shape the way you experience relationships, work, study, emotions, and everyday life. You may have spent years feeling different, misunderstood, overwhelmed, or as though everyone else received instructions that you somehow missed. Perhaps you've recently been diagnosed with ADHD, autism, or AuDHD, or perhaps you're beginning to wonder whether neurodivergence might explain some of the challenges you've faced throughout your life.

I offer counselling for adults in a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment. Together we can gently explore issues such as anxiety, burnout, masking, people-pleasing, rejection sensitivity, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and the lasting impact of feeling misunderstood.

I work in Poundbury, Dorchester or central Exeter. I also work online if you cannot make a face-to-face session.

Many neurodivergent adults arrive in therapy carrying years of shame or a sense that they are somehow failing at life. Often, the problem is not who they are, but the exhausting effort of trying to fit into expectations that were never designed with them in mind. Therapy can provide space to make sense of your experiences, recognise your strengths, understand your patterns, and develop greater self-acceptance and self-trust.

My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, meaning I do not see ADHD or autism as something that needs to be fixed. Instead, I aim to understand your unique experience and support you in finding ways of living that feel more manageable, authentic, and sustainable. Whether you are newly diagnosed, exploring the possibility of neurodivergence, or simply looking for a therapist who understands ADHD and autism, you will be met with warmth, compassion, and respect.
